Feline Urgent Rescue & Rehabilitation

Feline Urgent Rescue & Rehabilitation, or F.U.R.R., is the name Terry Schultz has given to her kitty rescue project in Waxhaw NC. Over the years, Terry has rescued & helped hundreds of cats that were in dire need. These include injured cats, feral cats, cats whose owners had died without making arrangements for their pets, abandoned cats that were left when their owners moved, mom cats with kittens, kittens whose mom cat had died…the list goes on and on. Basically they are all cats that would have been euthanized in a shelter, died on the streets from an illness or accident, or continued to reproduce and add to the cat overpopulation problem.

Not only has Terry helped the cats, but she has also helped many people in our community, people who have feral or stray cat overpopulation problems and can’t afford to spay or neuter, or get medical help for injured cats they’ve found.

In our community there is very little opportunity for low-cost spay/neuter, but Terry has spayed and neutered as many cats as she possible can, including the cats in several feral colonies that she takes care of.

Terry also finds homes for as many cats as possible, and the number of cats who have been adopted because of Terry’s efforts is also in the hundreds. All these lucky kitties get full veterinary care including testing for FIV & FeLV, vaccinations, treatment for parasites and spay or neuter. Terry checks out all potential adopters to make sure both the adopted kitty and the new parents will be happy.

Terry has been paying for most of this with her own money. Even though she takes advantage of as many veterinary discounts and low-cost spay/neuter as possible, it is still very costly so we are asking for your help to help Terry continue this work by making a donation.

The contributions you make through our PayPal donation page are secure, and if you don’t have a PayPal account you can use a credit card. 100% of all donations (after PayPal fees are deducted, if any) will go toward testing, spay/neuter, vaccinations, flea & worm and other necessary treatments, and food for rescued cats.
