Strays, Ferals, & Other Cat Projects
Updated on December 5, 2009
Terry spends a lot of time checking out the cat situations that people contact her about. She spends even more time rescuing and finding homes for adoptable kitties, trapping & neutering ferals, taming feral kitties so they can be adopted, taking care of feral colonies, and teaching people to take care of the feral colonies that she’s helped get spayed and neutered. In the succeeding pages I’ll be writing about some of the feral, semi-feral and other rescue projects that Terry is working on, and if I can pin Terry down from her busy schedule I’ll try to get some info on her previous efforts as well!
Desperate in BallantyneTerry was notified about a feral colony located in Ballantyne by Harris Teeter. The office at the development has tried several times to have Animal Control to take these cats away. Currently, we think that we have about 20 feral cats. We need a place to relocate kitties or office will have them taken away and killed. A great place for relocation is a farm. They would be great mousers!! Please let us know if you know of anyone who could take them. They will be spay/neuter. All we ask is that the new owners will water and feed cat dry food every day and to take to veterinarian if cat is injured or sick.
Urgent Feral Cat Situation, which has now become known as “Betty’s Cats!” All of Betty’s Cats have been fixed, and Rhonda is helping Betty provide ongoing care for them.
Fogle Cats - at this time 7 of the Fogle Cats have been spayed/neutered, 7 more were taken in by a rescue in Lincoln County, and Terry has taken in 3 of the kittens which are now residing in a new home!

We have a stray that has a neck injury, and she will not let me get close to her. I feed her and give her shelter, but can not trap her. Animal control said they would put her down and so did any vet I contacted. Is there anything you can suggest. My husband’s cell is 704.661.4139, he carries his with him on w/e, his name is Dan…we will be together. I appreciate any suggestions…help.
